I Have No Direction
Mood: Silly
This morning, my dad decided to wake me up at 11am, so he came in my room, then I mumbled something about hurting my collarbone! lol He was like 'Ok, whatever!' :P It was really funny! I have been known to say some pretty funky things in my sleep. Like one time, when I was sick & on medication, my mom came to give me my medicine at like 3am & I sat up in my bed & intelligently say 'What's the dinosaur's name?' The funny thing is that I don't remember any of this! lol

This afternoon, we went driving around a town close to us that's so uh...hillbilly...it's scary! lol Well, we planned on going to the library there, just to see what it was like. It was so tiny! I got a B.B. King CD, then we left.

After leaving there, we were en route to Wal*Mart & I was really hungry. So I said, can we swing by the house before we get to Wal*Mart so I can get something to eat. Well, my dad goes 'Nicole...Wal*Mart is right up here on the left & our house is past that!' lol I really thought we were headed another way! Yeah, if you know me, I have no direction at all! I'm totally gonna need a GPS in my future car! lol Anyway, we had a good laugh at me & went to Wal*Mart to get some food & propane for our BBQ grill.

When we got home, we realized that we didn't get our bag with our cheese & lettuce. So, while my mom tended to the grill [we had burgers], my dad & I went back to the store. When we got to the cashier we told her what had happened & she handed us our bag, with the cheese & lettuce...that had been sitting there off ice [I know, that expression sounds funny, but my MaMa who lives in LA has always said it, so it's a part of me! lol] for almost an hour! Yeah, like we want warm lettuce & icky cheese! lol So, we exchanged them & all was fine! :P That's it for today!

Where Am I Going?
Mood: Introspective
Today, when I was talking to Nat on the net, I was hit with a startling truth: I'm going to be out of school in 2 years. Honestly, this scares me. I don't know where I'm headed, I feel totally clueless. I thought that I could use today's diary entry as a sort of online theraputic treatment to clear my mind.

Do I feel like I'm ready to embark on the world--no way. I know, if you have read pretty much any of my other entries, you might be thinking to yourself, 'This can't be the same Nicole with the stupid jokes & stories!' but I thought that I might finally share my fears with the world. lol While I was thinking about this, Nat asked me about joining her & Michaela [one of the girls I went to school with in LA] in their band. I mean, yeah I can sorta play my guitar [I'm in a learning process] but I simply couldn't be in a band with them, mostly for the reason of Michaela. This, I know, will come out wrong & I don't intend for it to, but Michaela & I have never gotten along. It would be self-destructive to a band to have 2 people in it who simply can't get along. No specific reason, our personalities just don't mesh. Sure, I would like to be in a band in the future, doesn't almost every teenager want this? But, this arrangement wouldn't work, no need to prove it. Ahh, why must things in life be so complicated? lol Honestly, I feel alot better now!

Well, sorry if I depressed you. I plan to pray about all of this [I'd be great if you wanted to too! :)] & I know that God will lead me through, the way he intends! :D

My Site Discontinued
Mood: Ok
Today, I decided to discontinue my web site. I just have had enough of Expage randomly deleting pages! So I have moved the elements of my site that are most significant to me onto my diary! I added my cliques, tag-board, a new counter, b-day couter, imood etc] to parts of my diary! :) Maybe some other day I will start a new website, but right now, it's really not that important to me.

Ok, about the new stuff--my imood [tells how I am feeling at that exact time], hit counter [which tracks visitors' visits, but not my visits so there is an accurate count], tag-board [you can comment on an entry, but please write the title of the entry :D] & b-day counter--all this stuff will be under the entry(s) on a page starting with this one & the older entries one! The the diary info, cliques & diaryrings & my online quizzes links are right above my hit counter.

Well, that's about it for today, my brain has been really wracked by all the stuff I had to transfer & code! lol But all is right so it was all worth it! :D

Mood: Bored
I didn't go to sleep until 4:45am this morning! I was on the net since 11:30pm but I still wasn't tired. lol Anyway, surprisingly, I woke up after only 6 hours of sleep this morning, totally awake! lol If only I could survive on 6 hours of sleep during the school year! :P

As I was on the net earlier, I discovered that Expage certainly did delete many of my layouts on my site! That's really annoying, but I heard that they have cut many sites that have been on their server for years, but have the free, not paid accounts. I see what's going on here! lol

This afternoon, as I was watching Fuse [music channel], the new All-American Rejects video came on! Yep, so I got to see the vid to 'The Last Song' for the first time today! I really like it & I know that we will see so much more of them in the future!

After my dad got off of work tonight, he ran by Wal*Mart & picked up some ice cream & whipped cream [in the normal tubs]. The funny thing is that the whipped cream was non-dairy! But don't be scared off by it, it tastes just like the aerosol whipped cream! This new ice cream topping will totally make vegans & lactose-intolerents around the nation happy! :)

That's all for today! [BTW, the couplet is a little strange, but I'm talking about the fluffiness of the whipped cream! lol]

Mood: Groovy
This morning my mom & I both woke up around 10am, which is the time church starts...oops. So, yeah, we didn't make it to church today. :( Bummer.

Anyway, around noon, my mom & I went shopping while my dad cut the grass. And so began my trek for a pair of jean shorts. We first went to Old Navy because last week I saw that they had shorts & now that I had some money, I wanted to buy some. Man I'm tellin ya, we searched that entire store & found the sizes that were too small & too big, but of course not my size! lol But, I did eventually fand a pair elsewhere so all is right in the world! lol Clothes-shopping has to be the single most horrific thing in women's lives. No other activity is so detramental to your self-confidence! lol

Tonight, I watched the Avril Lavigne: Anything But Ordinary thing on ABC Family. At first I thought about how icky her live performance sounded, then, at the last few minutes of the program, she said that earlier that day, her grandpa, whom she was tightly attached to, died a few hours before the concert. Then she sang 'Tomorrow' with only her acoustic guitar. This totally got to me & I started crying because (1) she was crying onstage & you could see her pain, (2) my PaPa that I was really close to died in 1995 when I was 7 of cancer. This hit so close to home, I just couldn't hold it in when I was watching Avril. Even these so many years later, sometimes it just seems so recent to me.

Yeah, ok, so I can end on a happier note, earlier, we ate our first watermelon of the summer! lol :D I just love melon del agua, as I kept calling it. heehee That's it for today!
